    The landmark of the city. Built between 1209 and 1230. An important pilgrimage church in the Middle Ages.
  • Marienkapelle (St. Mary's Chapel) Collegium Marianum

    Designed in 1984 as an holistic work of art entitled "Gospel of Light" by Heinz Mack.
  • Hl. Geist Kirche (Church of the Holy Spirit)

    Designed as an holistic work of art by Georg Ettl. "Labyrinth of Life" (1999)
  • Sankt Marien (St. Mary's)
    (Marienkirchplatz)
    21 windows with modern motifs designed by Emil Wachter. Genesis and Apocalypse in the transept. (1985-1990).

    Thorn Prikker windows, shape and colour in Art-deco design (1919).
  • St. Konrad
    (Konradstraße)
    Glass walls designed by Gottfried Böhm (1955).
  • St. Stephanus
    (Grefrath)
    New gothic filigree windows designed by Eduard Steinle (1864). Restored between 1982 and 1992.
