The Subject Area of Integration Promotion

On December 1, 2017 the Integration Office was newly established within the Neuss municipal administration.

IIn the Integration Office, the Integration Promotion Department acts as a central coordination and service centre for the cross-sectional task of “integration” within the Neuss municipal administration.

The following tasks in particular are among the focal areas:

  • inter-departmental co-ordination of the cross-sectional task of “integration”;
  • implementation and further development of the integration concept;
  • bundling and networking of all integration efforts;
  • technical co-operation with local and supra-regional associations, institutions, organisations and authorities;
  • management of the Integration Council;
  • mediation of municipal integration pilots as language and cultural mediators;
  • implementation and management of municipal integration promotion;
  • acquisition and controlling of internal and external funding;
  • co-ordination, organisation and implementation of integration-specific measures and events, working groups and round tables on various thematic focal points in co-operation with local participants

Mr Uwe Manke is responsible for the management of the subject area.
